Once a small fishing village and whistle stop along side the Atlantic Coast Line RR. Legend has it that xxxxxxxxxxxxxx got its name from George Washington in the late 1780s. It seems during one of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1:State w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Washington</st1lace></st1:State>'s many trip's along the King's Highway he planned to spend the night in the area and feast on the abundant mullet caught in the Topsail sound. However, when he arrived, as luck would have it, the mullet were not running. <st1:State w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Washington</st1lace></st1:State> had to "feast" on ham instead and from that day on the area was known as xxxxxxxx.

Yea if I was not working. Just got home at 8pm and will be back at work tommorrow at 8am until 6pm. Another 24 hour shift on Sunday etc.........

Ok U kinda gave it away with that last clue, but I still have not been able to actually see the shark. But I now know what town it is in. I am working this weekend, voting on Tues but Wed and Thurs is open. Lets keep the game rolling people. Who is going to get it. BTW Truck man U cant take all that money with U brother. Well Hec . I am pretty much P-O'd . I have been wanting to get to the OBX`all year long , and now that the season is winding down , I am absoultely NOT going to get the time to see OBX this year . Oh well , someone else has to go get the Tag . Good luck and get home safe .

Man , I was sooooo wanting to get out that way and do a little scuba diving while there . Just no time for such fun . Oh well .
