Meet in Congress 9:00 am Sat. Jan. 5th, very cold:eek1:eek1. Across to Parker & time permitting around the Dam & ride powerline rd. over to 95. Down to Vidal Junc. 62 back to Parker & home. Fast dirt, some slab. Big bike, little bike who cares, just for fun:D

Quick question. How far from Parker to Prescott? Is there dirt roads all the way?

Will try & describe. Milage to Parker I would guess about 120? Overall milage for the route I had in mind maybe 325? The recent snow & rain will require more pavement. Head south through Yarnell instead of Camp Wood Rd to Bagdad as the mud gets excessive quickly. Dirt, sand, rocks & sand washes almost all the way from Alamo Rd & 93 to Parker. Hope this answers a bit.

120 miles is about as far as I can go without fueling. Is there a gas stop in between?

Probably 80 max between gas stops. I would tell you to ride your Hodaka but I sold my 71 Super Rat 2 years ago.

    Wow... Nice Super Rat...:D
Those were the days "Hodaka's" of all sizes. My old Combat Wombat would be sucking air at 80 miles on a moderate enduro. The Thunder Dog could keep chug'n for about 100 mile of most any off-road terrain.
Sounds like a good ride, Have fun !

Very cool. I had mine when I was a kid. I am thinking about going on the ride to Parker. I need to see if I can rearrange some things

Tom, how fast do you plan to run the dirt roads? I did a trip with a couple of KTM's out to sheeps crossing and 70 + MPH is above my comfort and talent level right now.

I am betting your a better/faster rider than I. I like to keep moving at a pace I can have fun & not kill myself. PS I don't own a KTM so that knocks off about 20 MPH

Tom, I am going to pass on this trip. Couldn't re-arrange my plans for Friday so I took a little trip today. New River to Table Mesa rd/ FR 41 to FR 24 back through Cave Creek. Froze my butt off on any strech over 40 MPH
