RTE possibility. Does anybody Know about Joe's steak house in Front Royal?

They seem to have space to accommodate large groups.. Never eaten there so I cannot vouch for the food quality .

Maybe OldMan river knows something about the place.

I've been there once for dinner since they opened. It's OK. The dinning room is kinda fancy for ADV types. :huh
They have a bar area in the back which isn't very big. One plus, if it's a nice day, they have a patio out back. I've heard good things and bad things about the place from friends and online reviews.
One not so good thing, at least for me...I could walk there from my house. Not much time in the saddle.
I do need to get off my ass and make a plan soon. Been rather busy lately. Good thing I don't have a day job! I'd never get anything done. :lol3

I know the owner.have eaten at the front royal and Woodstock locations. That said, Bob's review is right on. A bit fancy for us probably :eek1. The pub side may fit us. Oh, and they lost the tag mascot for the NW ridetoeat tag

There is always elpaso in elkton . Maybe when it warms we can coordinate a RTE with a tech weekend at the BWDR compound. With warning I can get the tire changer ready ..and beer chilled.

Ha, I know him too, although probably not as well as you. He was my Teacher in a Green Advantage class I took a few years back, before he bought Deans Steakhouse.

I've been looking for someone to take over during the summmer months but no takers for the last two years...until now. We have a volunteer! :clap:clap:clap

    :lol3
I'll do them thru April, maybe May. After that someone else is more then welcome to take the reins for awhile.

Yep, there is that, and I have been thinking about that one too. :deal
You have a tire changer? So do I! It even has a name!

It's name is Bob. :bluduh I just changed two yesterday and one this morning. I swear those 18" D-606's are only 17 1/2" but I got it! :gdog

Funny, you guys are talking about Mexican Restaurants. I just came back from dinner at Los Portrillos in the Rivertion Commons Shopping Center North of Front Royal. First time there.
There Chicken Chimichanga's were pretty darn good! Margarita wasn't too shabby either. I asked them about a large crowd descending on their establishment. After overcoming the language barrier and figuring out what I was trying to say they said it was OK.

    So that's another possibility.

I've eaten at the Jalisco's in Front Royal, Strasburg and New Market. All three have been good. One friend said they had a roach crawl across the wall at the one in Front Royal but I've never had a bad experience. I actually ate there a couple weeks back.

Is that where we ate with two hawks in new market once? That was good.

I agree with the reviews already stated for Joe's. Great food, most of the time, but not really the right atmosphere for us. The outside patio would be sweet though.

I'm down for Mexican! Any mentioned would be fine, but I'd vote for the Elkton eats since I missed that RTE.
