My Remus will be here in a day or 2.....

There isn't a performance gain to be had from any Slip On for these bikes...but they sure do sound better....:lol3

Does anyone know the dB level of the stock exhaust pipe?
    Thank you.

does the Wings or Remus requires repacking down the road? I know Staintune did not, so was like the sock pipe in a way. They are all way overpriced and it will be a bummer if repacking is needed.

To me it looks like Remus et. al. have priced the slip-ons based upon the price of the bikes, not based upon the price of development/manufacturing to them.

My interest in only due to the symmetric Holan pannier setup.

I know the Wings installation sheet does provide repacking information.
The sheet says to repack if you see hot spots on the outside of the cannister or if the noise becomes louder.

When you instal any aftermarket exhaust, start by using it gently, so the accoustic material has time to settle down. If you do it that way, chances are low you need to repack it.

Looks great other than the exhaust looks like it will be melting your turn signal. Maybe a slight bend in the pipe near the joint and a longer canister hanger to get the rear outlet down a couple inches would be better?

I bought the Remus because it is EU approved (Wings are not). I've had Wings on my 990, so I can compare more or less.

Fitting the Remus was easy and it seems very well made. The sound is very similar to how my Wings used to sound on the 990. Nice and deep growl, but not too offensive or loud. Just the way I like it.

As for looks, I like the Wings shorty better, the Remus looks a bit funky due to its long and narrow appearance and the bend in the end cap.

If you don't need the EU approval, I would go with the Wings simply because they are cheaper and of a similar build quality.

Its far enough away not to cause any trouble. A blast to 200kmh as a test - indicator was not warm at all.
