north ga tag a rama is here!!!

So after getting a little tour Lilo wanted to stay in the area. She heard there is a good Pizza place nearby open Thurs and Friday evenings and Sat and Sunday all day. There is also a neat old hotel with a bar and restraunt. So we wound up stopping nearly where we started.

It really is only fair for someone else that hasn't spent much time in this area to check it out, grab Lilo, and move the tag.

That said, here is the new tag.

Someone needs to give Lilo the Tag Whore a bath. I started to dunk her in the lake but figured I'd drop her and then what the heck was I gonna do??

And that brings up a concern.....What are we going to do when some outsider stumbles upon Lilo ( a kid or a landscape and maintenance guy) and takes her out of the game? Maybe we ought to have a plan??????

Dirtdabber, what kind of estimates are you giving??? I'm guessing it roofs??

mb, lets ride sometime.....I've got a 21 yr old (pretty new to dual sporting) with a KLR and we've been spending some time up in the Cohutta's lately.

Brown, J Dixon the fireman works for us part-time...said he knows you.

I know the area well and have done some stone work close to that location. That chiminey can not be missed. The pizza place is good you should stop by.

I am sure we can find a workaround for it. Chances are it will happen at some point. Then we will just have to go back to the old tag. Maybe we can find a toy trailer in honor of Coates.

I am a painting contractor. I don't do to well on roofs and have the metal in my ankle to prove it.

Hi Guys! I have been off of the forum for the past week and a half. We were out of town in Arkansas riding in an AHRMA vintage ISDT two day cross country event. I have been trying to catch up on everything ever since...... But be forewarned, I will be back in the groove again here shortly and plan to participate in the pursuit of the Tag & Ms. Lilo. SR

Ah dude!! True story - when I was about 12 or 13 a friends family took us to his grandparents hotel in north ga for a week in the summer. Every night his grandparents made a family style dinner for all the guests. We had a blast walking down to the lake at night and staring at huge bass in the clear water under the dock lights. We'd go skiing and fishing during the day and do our best to find trouble when we weren't doing that. Well, I get home and I'm showing my parents the pictures and it turns out they recognized the hotel from their honeymoon! Couldn't believe I spent a week at the hotel where they went for their honey moon 20 years earlier. They said it was painted white when they went there. Sometime between the late '60's and 84ish someone stripped all the paint and stained the wood. Whe I was there it looked very similar to your interior pictures. I do remember sharing a bathroom with the room beside us. It was the hotel in your pictures.

Wish I could go and get this one, but I won't have the time anytime soon
