thanks dude! sometimes you get lucky with DOF. it was so dark I had to shoot wide open and the distance was right. I need a tablet to run a DOF app though it would be nice to know instead of guessing. I can't for the life of me understand why they don't have a DOF calculator onboard based on the lens being used.

they canceled the races for the day right after this moto. the sky's opened up for about 20 minutes and then stopped but it was coming down in BUCKETS. this was Friday at U2, the "other" track at Unadilla. They run amateurs on Fridays, the pro's run on Saturdays on the main track, and then the amateurs run moto 2 on Sunday. they become somewhat of a captive audience for the pro national. so since they only got a 3rd of the first moto's (50) in on Friday they had to squeeze all of the rest and then a full card again on Sunday. I bailed and drove home after the national saturday night...
