In around 1995 my wife & I were walking down a main drag street in Tijuana and there was a sign posted in the window of a restaurant, stating that they had invented the Ceasar salad-is that the same place mentioned? Whereever it was invented it is more important to end up with a good one vs. a bad one as some I really like and others are terrible. Salad or not,I am avoiding the town for awhile.
This is not where I saw the sign taking credit for inventing the salad. We saw it in downtown area on a formal restaurant with a large plate glass window...
Not quite sure what to tell you. If you look at my photo you can see "Caesar" painted on a window but the window is covered in paper and only the very tops of the lettering are showing. It was, when I was there, a pretty decent restaurant. A few blocks from the jai lai pavilion and across the street as I remember.
I only have 2. One shows the bike off the road, the other after we got it back on the road. But don't worry, the guys took plenty of pix and they will all be posted here eventually. Spending tonight at Kiko's house in Jocotepec, BTW.
