    I'm no expert, but from what I've seen it seem to be the ability to handle heat. I've seen non-DOT tires loose lugs rapidly from street riding. My theory is that street riding generates a lot more heat than dirt riding because the speeds are higher, the durations at high speed are longer and the fiction coefficient is higher.

    That rear tire will chunk at accelerated hwy speeds. Ton of fun in the dirt though.:ricky

    Yeah, I ran the 606s on my KLR.

    Not sure the total mileage. This is my first set, these have 350miles on them so far.
