After lunch the rain was sweeping in from the west ...so we decided to not return the fun way ..but to flee south to the A9 and 'short cut' it back to Glasgow ...on the way we came across a scooter club outing and tagged along for a few mins.....

but i prefer sunny weather

It was a tough battle ... we couldn't hope to out drag them on the straights but managed to pass by out-braking them into turns or drafting behind them and getting a tow to slingshot by on the longer straights.

I also managed to get a run out on the Sunday ..twice in one weekend! :eek1


..and Sunday started so much sunnier (it wasn't to last) ..

Our destination was the 'Snack Bar' at the top of Glen Ogle ...100 miles might seem a long way for a burger ..but when it's 100 miles of twisty great roads it makes perfect sense.

But it has Brembo brakes! .....Gsxr's only got those last year!

Sunday...unfortunately we didn't beat the rain and got showered on for about 10 miles on the way back...

Tut tut! - Roll up those sleeves and snap on those 'Marigolds'....

Something amazing happened! ....... Summer! ......... it was a 'For one day only' deal......24C ! ..... Suddenly it was 'action stations' as the call to get out and enjoy it whilst it lasted became urgent ....Work was abandoned early and an evening rideout hastily arranged via texts.

Boy did it feel good to be out riding in the sun and to be able to sit outside in T-shirts at 8:00 at night having a drink. ...maybe I dreamt it ...after all,- it's wet and 11 C again today ...No wait! - I have pictures to prove it actually happened.
