I took my carbs out to have a look at the needle valves. All looked good save for the float bowl gaskets, which have a little crud on them. But I can't find a source for just the float bowl gaskets. KTM has a gasket kit which costs the sun, moon, and a few stars ($180?), but I don't need them all. Just the bowl gaskets. Any sources? Anyone have a set lying about that they don't need?

I've never changed mine. Just carefully clean the crud off w/ WD40, clean the mating surface and put 'em back together. No worries.

That's exactly what I will do before spending that kind of money.

I always put a fine coat of Mobil 1 grease on those rubber gaskets before they go back together. Never a problem.

SUDCO would have these if anyone does.

Has anyone found a source for these, before I start making calls tomorrow?

I bet an o-ring would work fine. Just have to find the right size.

I've been in a lot of these carbs and never needed to swap one yet.

Maybe you could find a source of a comparable O-ring. But, if you really want that piece of rubber from KTM, I think you have to buy the carb rebuild kit for something like $270 US. :eek1 Like I mentioned before, put a little fine coat of Mobil 1 axle grease, and the original rubber part should seal.

I tried that last time, but whomever was in these carbs before me flattened out the gaskets. I was hoping the Factory Pro allen screws might help a little.

I thought about that o-ring idea too, might have to do some experimenting. The cheapest I've found that gasket so far is ~$130.

60031099000- carb gasket kit is $139.03 + shipping from Munn- If you buy one before I get to it, please post up the contents; I am guessing this kit has float bowl gaskets, fuel inlet orings, TPS oring, U ring, diaphragm in the aircut valve- (anything marked by # in the fische)

FYI Mine looked pretty flat and had some crud growing on the oring as well- but cleaned with silicone grease- reinstalled, been back in and found the same build up again. They dont seem to be leaking so I wont be changing them for now.
