When I put in an order to Motorworks I'll stick an Avon Roadrider front on the list, then pull the front wheel off the dormant K, drop it off for fitting/balancing and then swap it into the K fronted DMW boxer, not least because it'll have another pair of disks on it. The current ones are slightly warped so as you can feel a sort of judder when you grab the front anchors. It got an advisory on it at the last MOT. I've not spoken to him as I'm out of phone credit & the bike's off the road, so I'm not sure quite how comprehensively his gearbox is lunched, or why it's happened, but the warranty ran out on that bike years ago On the other hand I might ask him how much he wants for it

So, the fix is in, but I don't think it's a good one because I don't know exactly what I did that sorted it, and that's always a bad sign because whatever I jiggled that sorted it may well jiggle itself unsorted again... Had I the time, and were the weather more temperate I would of course keep going till I found it & rectified it, but my life being as it is I just need to get rolling again & keep going till it reappears. I know this is probably a mistake, but there ya go...
I am also a great fan of the "oh its working again" wiggle. Trouble is it will come back just when you dont want it to :eek1

Some miles done, and both the charging circuit & misfire are both still behaving... ... But there's still a popping in the inlet tract until it's well warmed thru/ough, so while electrics to seem to have been the source of the left carb issue, there still seems to be a little something going on with the mixture or something.
I had popping all the way back from the dragon. My oil temp gauge was reading less then 50 deg C for the 200 mile ride home. It happened at 2000 revs left cylinder only. may need a tune up. In other news my ka(k) has a flat
