    Introducing the new Caribou 25L Top Loading side case system! Based on the 25 Liter Pelican Storm iM2435, this system offers adventure and dual sport riders a nearly indestructible top loading case that is still narrow and light weight.

    -Easy to assemble turn-key System, no drilling or modification to the bike.
    -Nearly indestructible top loading Pelican Storm cases with a heavy duty watertight O-ring lid seal - will not crack or shatter like hard plastic, will not dent & leak like aluminum luggage. These cases come with a limited lifetime guarantee.
    -Cases are pre-drilled for optimum performance & safety with pre-installed waterproof lid locks (if you prefer undrilled cases just ask). Wheels and telescoping handle are easily removed.

    -Caribou quick attach/release system holds the case tightly on the rack to eliminate all case movement. Our locking latch is fully adjustable to account for wear and to keep the system tight and secure forever
    -Our latch is on the outside of the case, so no need to open and unload case to access pucks or bolts. It is field replaceable and designed to release the case from the bike in a hard crash thereby protecting the bike's subframe and luggage rack.
    -Super strong Hepco Becker side luggage racks - the best fit and most durable side racks available. The "Lock-It" version allows one to remove most of the rack in a few short minutes leaving behind small unobtrusive attach plates, and still offers superior strength over any other rack on the market.

    - All mount components are made of high strength powder coated steel with bushing material to prevent metal-on-metal wear. No brittle plastic parts to break.
    -Passenger Friendly Design - plenty of room for passenger's legs and feet on passenger peg.

    We've had several folks ask us to compare our 36L Pelican Top Loading cases to our new 25L Storm Top Loading cases. Here you can see that they are nearly the same height, and a little shorter length. However the 25L cases are much more narrow and therefore offer a nice narrow width across on the bike....

    Also, when you remove the wheels and handles from the 25L Top Load cases they are only a little over 6 lb each (without mount hardware). That's really light.

    Hmmmmmmmmmmm. I have Wolfman racks on my bike. The side loading is really what has kept me from using your cases. I've been using wolfman soft saddlebags happily, but these have me thinking.

    Are you familiar with the Wolfman racks? Would your mount work on the Wolfman racks? Alternatively, with the wheels/handles removed, would I be able to use pucks or the Wolfman kit?

    You would have to use the pucks for these kind of racks. I guess you could also use U-bolts. A rack like these without a rear crossbar is not recommended.

    I already have Givi Monokey sidecases installed on my bike. What I would
    like to have is 25 L Storm Top Loading Side Luggage with all the hardware including lid locks. My understanding that DIY kits don't come with the lid locks.

    In other words, can I have 25L Top Loading Side Case System (SKU:
    V-Strom650201225TL) without Hepco Becker side luggage racks?

    well, for 25L top loading storm cases I won't need lanyards and internal gear retention straps.
    so, standard kit isn't sufficient for me because it's missing lid locks and deluxe kit is overkill for me...

    The lid organizer noted above is designed with small screws that fasten it to the molded-in bosses in the lid of the 34L top case. The 35L Pelican case has similar bosses to allow organizers to be fastened inside the lid, however the location of the Pelican bosses is different and wider apart than that on the 34L case. You would have to either glue the lid organizer to the Pelican case lid, or use M5 screws/nuts/sealing washers to bolt-through and fasten it to the lid.

    any feedback on whether or not pillions think the back rest is comfortable on the 34ltr top case? Most cases have a pad at the top of the case but this one the pad is in the middle with nothing on the top. Seems like pillions would be leaning on the top.

    I read your blog and the one thing you mentioned about the HB racks looking skimpy has always been a concern of mine. I want something solid and that doesn't rattle when off road. Other racks just look more sturdy. I'm in the research phase myself. I think I've narrowed it to this setup for my 800xc except I want the top loaders. Just need some more confidence to pull the trigger.

    I think it is better to have the back rest pad contact lower rather than up high on adventure touring bikes. In a get-off I think it is safer to have the back rest low. That's why ours are positioned where they are. Hope this explains it. Thank you.
