After hearing the above news. This was my visual perspective of the above communications. The initial "hit" of the above news was only temporary. With the amount of planning and execution into Ned's effort, it soon became a minor setback.
That's not a proper Dakar hotel room. There should be riding gear all over the place, tires and mousses stacked to the ceiling, and motor oil stains on the floor. What kind of race is this anyway?
Scott- We need a wider angle lens. The riding gear is hear but stacked further in. The mousses, tires, and stains are in the container that apparently, we cannot access. Joking aside, one of my supporters helped me out with the hotel room, and it's way above my station in life. I'm not sorry! And, Thanks to Woody's Wheel Works and FL_Biker for the support! I'm hoping we can find a way to put your contributions into the pocket of some customs broker and spring that bike early! Very much appreciated, as always, the spending doesn't stop where the budget did, so late is definitely very much welcome.
...aaaand we've got first hand intel from B.A.! It's happening! Cherish your last peaceful days, gentlemen!
"It's good to have something to keep your hands busy with before the race" Good luck, and relax while you can.
Can't wait for the start!!! Good luck and godspeed. Great article and video--rack up the sleep! Been through some military training were I got 1hr sleep a night on avg for 63 odd days and how I wished I could have had more prior to the start! !
Nice job! I was looking for coverage this morning, and found out that ASO (the organizers) have an iPhone app this year. I haven't downloaded it yet, but they say that they'll have daily videos. I think the funniest part is that it's "rated 12+ for the following: Infrequent/Mild Realistic Violence and Infrequent/Mild Sexual Content or Nudity."
