You know I love you, man! Thanks again for making the Puente Baluarte happen for me. Was a very special day that I had given up on.

My colleagues at work seem to think I have a mistress down there. Well, I guess I do. She is México.

    Hey, Mike!

I was the guy that got lost from Lance and Steve and hung at the motox hotel with y'all. Thanks for a fun ride. Mexico was a blast!! (and safe, duh!). Beautiful country, great roads! we made it all the way down to Guatemala and then to the Pacific Coast. That place was so beautiful, one of the group is still there :lol3

I am back in SoCal. Dreaming of another trip south!

My last full day in Mexico, crossing into Belize tomorrow. My rear K60 is shot and I have a new one waiting for me in Guatamala. Antigua calls.

I'd like to thank you guys for helping make my 2 months in Mexico enjoyable and trouble-free. In particular, those great guys I've met, or have hosted me or helped in some way - Turkeycreek, SR, MikeMike, Animo, Bato, Andy, Jimmex, Ken and Carol Duvall. Thanks guys.

But most of all, the countless Mexicans who've laughed with me (and probably, at me - my fault for not knowing enough spanish) and for consistently being kind, helpful and honest. For me, Mexico has been perfectly safe... anyone thinking about coming down, don't think twice (but do your homework first).

I'll be checking in here once in a while to make sure everything's still safe!

    Here's my 8000 miles or so around Mexico. More detailed map here;

And some pics from the ride with Animo yesterday to Parque Natural Ria Lagartos, at the tip of Yucatan.

    Mexico is a harsh mistress.

Yes, that was us! About 20 miles down the road I remembered you were in the area. I should have stopped, it would have been good to see you again. It's been a while since I saw you in Hot Springs.

On another note, anybody know a good bike mechanic in Tula de Allende?

Hey Jimmex, looks like you are somehow deleting the closing tag when you quote, looks like this: [/QUOTE]. Put that at the end and the quote should be displayed nice and neat.

So, this MotoGP thing. I suspect all you rich dudes are buying something other than General Admission tickets, are you?

Trice, the BMW agency is open and operating in Oaxaca and has been for some time now. It is owned and run by the same people that have Puebla and Veracruz.
If you like Hank' s service, you are going to like Raphsel Lago at MotoPits, his shop here in Boca Del Rio. Ask Bato, Andy, Craneguy, the Mystery Rider, and a lot more riders. He also is always up for a ride, see if you can hang with him through Huatusco.

    You're a rich dude,
    and you've gone too far
    'Cause you know it
    don't matter anyway

    You can rely
    on the old man's money
    You can rely
    on the old man honey

    It's a bitch dude
    but it's gone too far
    'Cause you know
    it don't matter anyway

    Say money money
    won't get you too far,
    Get you too far

    And don't you know,
    don't you know
    That it's wrong to take
    what he's giving you

So far gone, on your own
    You can get along
if you try to be strong
    But you'll never be strong

    'Cause
    You're a rich dude,
    and you've gone too far
    'Cause you know
    it don't matter anyway

    You can rely
    on the old man's money

    'Cause you know
    it don't matter anyway

    Say money money
    won't get you too far,
    Get you too far

    High and dry,
    and out of the rain
It's so easy to hurt others
    when you can't feel pain

    And don't you know
    that a love can't grow
'Cause there's too much to give,
    'cause you'd rather live
For the thrill of it all, oh

    You're a rich dude,
    and you've gone too far
    'Cause you know
    it don't matter anyway

    You can rely
    on the old man's money

    You're a rich dude,
    a rich dude
Oh, you're a rich, rich dude, yeah
    Say money
but it won't get you too far,
    Oh, get ya too far

OK if anyone cares I'm in Yuma crossing at San Luis Colorado tomorrow morning. I,m assuming the spare hall sensor is not required.

Should anyone need one I also carry a rear drive big bearing being a typical paranoid BMW owner. Also a doable roadside fix.

We'll see how the heavy (all the spare parts and tools) big pig handles in the sand on Monday. Hope I have better luck than Trevor

I thought I heard you had a Tenere? In which case why the talk about all the spare BMW parts? Are you just taking the piss out of the BMW guys? The only spare you might need on the Tenere is a rear shock :lol3
