Maidened my Sapac F22 Raptor today. Put three batteries through it.. It's not a powerhouse or speed demon, but it has enough for what it is. I ran it on a 3000mah 3S battery. Looks AWESOME in the air. Landings are sweet and very scale-like in a high-alpha stance with a nose-up roll-out. Very cool.. I need to try to get some video of it. Some people mod these to 4S power and 75+ mph.. Tempting!

Another video from my lunch break today - flying my MCPX BL <IFRAME height=315 src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/o0tBGCKt-9E?rel=0" frameBorder=0 width=560 allowfullscreen></IFRAME>
Picked up one of these last night. I couldn't resist http://www.horizonhobby.com/product...st-_-BLH7600&gclid=CJPYmt-A9rcCFcc-MgodA0oAyg
They are habit forming and the more I fly the more I like flying. Till night before last when the elevator control wire came loose on my Fun Cub. Nice gentle banking turn, when I lost control. Straight into the ground, it didn't do a lot of damage to the plane. I think the ESC is toast went to order one and they are out. Tired another place and my computer lost connection. Had to start over and when I get to the pay part it says my session has timed out every time I hit the final pay for items. Maybe it will work better tomorrow, had enough frustration for one day.
Flew 5 packs in the Crack Yak Mini tonight and 4 in the MQX (before I broke 2 booms doing double flips). That Crack Yak is easily one of the best flying planes I have ever flown...and you can fly it inside too! At 4 ounces ready to fly you can stuff it in and it just won't get damaged. Great stuff!
Ordered in 3 planes this week....went a little crazy, Nitroplanes is selling off their old FMS stock at some pretty good prices, picked up the kit versions of the B-25 and the P40....and also picked this little guy up...all the stuff is still in the mail....but I have been waiting for this guy for a while.
Filed away for future reference, aka, I think I just found my son's birthday present......and his birthday isn't until November.
Hey, Cousin Larry! Whatcha think? http://www.horizonhobby.com/products/umx-yak-54-180-bnf-with-as3x-technology-EFLU5080
Get one now, learn to fly it and have fun after your son is in bed You'll be an outstanding pilot by November
They just introduced the Crack Pitts Mini too...I have a soft spot for bipes. Mine is on the way. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/DyrJrCL69fM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Sick flying man. I've got an MCPx, not brushless, and I can't fly nearly as well as you........look foreward to getting a BL CPx here soon.
Dakar - that yak looks cool! But I don't know if it'll be different from the Sbach enough to warrant the buy!! On the plus side, maybe the Sbach will get a price cut.. Dodgerdodger - thanks!! Just takes some practice and a direct deposit from your paycheck to Horizon Hobby!! hahahaaa Speaking of, picking up a VisionAire tonight!! Doing a trade with a local guy for my old Futaba 9C transmitter. The thing has like five flights on it, basically new. Can't wait! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/kN6cGBheV84" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
According to one of the rcgroups.com guys that does reviews on the HH stuff, the Yak weighs 5 grams less than the Sbach and has 14 square inches more wing, so it should be fun! That being said, I haven't flown an E-Flite UMX Sbach. That VisionAire sounds like a great trade! Please take some video! Some Nano QX parts are coming into my LHS today so I'll be getting those. This first LHS doesn't have an ETA on the UMX Yak. Another one may already have some in stock! Going to call them right now. I PMed dodgerdodger as I may be putting my mCPX BL up for sale. I bought it from one of my LHS employee/friends on a whim and I have only flown it twice. So...
My LHS had four UMX Yaks on order so I reserved one. It'll be here Tuesday! I'm going to fly my 48" Sbach tomorrow, I'll grab some video.
I'm excited! Did you pick up the VisionAire? If I didn't get the 48" profile I'd probably have one. I subscribed to the VA thread on rcgroups and decided to read it. I said hi to you on there. Figured "Connecticut/picking up a VisionAire" it had to be you!
