I want to try that on the rear of my 1150 next time, to help use up the TKC80 front I have sitting around. I've heard good things about it. I hope Cycletreads can get these in.

these blokes are the importers and will sell direct to the public. I have an E07 front at the moment. great tire have done about 9K on it and will still get a WOF on it. OK on gravel but stink on mud/clay.

Mitas may just be looking at a different import/distribution chain soon.

But you didn't hear that from me :ear

Interesting also that last time I bought a Mitas it was cheaper to buy from a bike dealer (Motorad) than from the importer. He is obviously conscious of not undercutting his retailers - to the point of losing business

I had a set of those on my 1100GS recently. Did an almost 7000Km ride and could hardly see the wear on the back one; a great tyre for the big chookies. Unfortunately the front one had a slow leak which I didn`t notice and the bead separated from the rim causing instant deflation. Result, broken leg for me and one written off 1100GS. TKC80 front, E07 rear would be a good combo.

yikes! that sounds nasty.... a good reason to run tubed rims. I like the E07 front as an alrounder except for when its greasy....like yesterday....gives ya the willies, especially when its a little bald :D

Ouch, while I am glad it didn't turn out worse, I know all about broken legs. Seven years late I still have a daily reminder.

The GS was going up for sale in a few months anyway, when my R100GS special is built, but the market for a 180,000Km bike is not huge and I would have had to fit three new discs and pads at least for it to pass the roadworthy. I haven`t heard back from the insurers with a payout figure yet, but it will surely be more than I could have sold it for, if I could have sold it. I suppose I have to be thankful for small mercies.
