Maintainence issues are found in the 690 Wunderfest . Just google 690 Wunderfest, advrider. RoninMoto is currently taking one RTW. I believe the thread is "Round the world with Noah on a 690 Enduro. There was a couple guys from England(?), that did a report in the Ride reports forum early on. I forgot the name. FishFund's South Africa to Nordkap report was a great read, but the bike was plagued with a minor, but undiagnosed, problem for most of the trip. It's the same bike RoninMoto is currently riding RTW.. Hope this helps.
And curiously enough, it's been trouble-free since they finally discovered the regulator was the issue. Though given the difficulty everyone had diagnosing the root-cause it's a miracle they didn't set the thing on fire mid-trip.
this is my 2009 690 R...15.000kms now, simply love it! full ti akra, TT rack with trax adapters welded, sw-motech toprack, RR bashplate, RR tank bolts, radiator guard, kriega haul loop, K&N podfilter with prefilter... this bike is as alround as they come
My stable of bikes is looking pretty healthy at the moment, and it's definitely time for more pics and less chat.
That looks wicked noyah. I have a few new bits on my bike and a couple more to turn up, so I will wait till I have them all fitted then post a pic. One that i really like is the new front fender I have, I got rid of the rounded one and replaced it with the more angular version. Looks a treat.
I agree on the fender. I'm happy with my project, it's still slim like stock but with good light and decent protection.
Which fairing/headlight setup is that ? The Rally Raid and Safari tank ? Looks very similar to the 990's.... Thanks.
Been scoping all these beautiful 690's for awhile, thought I'd contribute to the stoke. Mine started like this: Then I had the fortune to swap bikes with my buddy who recently (from my recommendation) purchased a 12 690 and I realized I was on the wrong bike so this happened: Here's more: Some props to Highway Dirtbike's set up: ...and one with little brother: My apologies for the photo fuzz.
Hey, what are people running for hand guards? I bought a set of Cycra Pro Bends thinking they would be great, but it looks maybe "ain't gonna fit". The long end could be bent easily enough, but it looks like there isn't enough clearance for the stock levers. Hmmm. -Rob '13 690 R
