My face on pic, it is very rare :evil:evil:evil

Special not really, but a great moment of exchange ( 1h and 30 min alone with him on a train ) about the race, the other racers (old and modern) and the world. And more important i met a real friendly guy, a real man with a big M, generous and very interesting...

Freddy is not like modern racers! he is human, really human... and this is the most important. :clap:clap

Cheers ..:thumb.. it is a stunning castle .......I'm hoping to get back up to the Kyle of Lochalsh again this summer. Apart from Eilean Donan Castle as a fantastic destination the roads up are fantastic.

Btw here is a webcam for the castle so you can see what it looks like at any given moment.

That is really great - that he spent over an hour chatting with you. Respect to Freddy for 'keeping it real'. . sounds like a all round top bloke ..as well as a racing legend. :clap

I saw the racing legend, now i know the man!!! and for me, he is greater now!!!

Many "legends" or "star" should take example on Freddy.

Hope one day i will do a track day with him :deal:deal

You may recall I posted a few pics from the Sma Glen last week ...looking back down the road across the small stone bridge to the tight bend .....see below ...

You can't really see the bridge properly in the above pic so here is one taken from below by the river...

The bridge is nearly 300 years old and like a lot of the roads and bridges was built by General Wade to help troops move about to put down the Jacobite uprising ..this bridge was built in 1730. General Wade built over 240 miles of roads and 35 bridges connecting forts for the British troops to be able to move about quickly.

Sunday: Normally our ride-out day. But because this Sunday was father's Day and British Superbikes was having it's Scottish round at Knockhill there was a poor uptake for the run ..and when on Sunday morning I got a phone call with an offer of free tickets to the Superbike Racing, Sarah and I found ourselves heading up to Knockhill for the day.

    Heading down Great Western Road...

..and on to the M8 ..

45 mins later we are in Fife, parking up at Knockhill race circuit..

made it just in time to pick up our tickets at the main gate and grab something to eat before the first round of BSB ....... Found a spot to watch near the end of the Start/Finish straight....

Shakey chasing Josh Brookes into the bend at the end of the straight...

On the way through the pit area I had stopped to grab a pic of Niall Mackenzie's (3 time BSB Champion '96 '97 & '98) Championship winning 'Boost' Yamaha bike.

Imagine my surprise then whilst watching the race, when I turn round to find Niall himself stood right next to Sarah watching the race with us! :huh:D

Of course I had to say 'Hi' and grab a pic of him with Sarah..

Shakey won race one and before the 600's races we moved down to watch from the hairpin but not before wandering through the pit area and stopping to say 'Hi' to my daughter who was working for the WK Bikes team.

    Ok, I'm a proud Dad - and it was father's day! :-
