My 06 950 has fittings near the cylinder head on both exhaust pipes. They look kinda like where 02 sensors would go.. DO all 950's have these?

I think so. Useful to check exhaust gas mix.

The parts book says the plugs are 10mm.

    Are sensors that small available?

I figured they were for connecting a gas analyser, or thermocouples.. But I haven't seen how big the 02 sensors are on a 990.. Thought maybe the 06 had a 990 exhaust just due to overlap in production.

Was considering addng a EGT thermocouple to each...

The parts book doesn't say, but the only size I have found on the net for any application is 18mm.

Edit: I just found a reference to a 12mm sensor, but of course that's still not 10.

Used for analysing gas mixture with a small probe. At least this is what a mech mate told me when I had my 03 Ducati.

Also good for dewatering before you remove the header pipes:bluduh

Makes sense,, would make more sense if KTM provided a analyzer to their dealers with orange status,, (Do they?) I know back when I had a DR350, I had the tuneup and service done at a local Yamaha shop, the tech used the EGA they get for the Ventures to tune the DR.. Best it EVER ran hands down..

    Cheers
