Your bike by your tent, Let's see em!

the tent on the seat actually serves as a decent backrest...




destination was Blue Ridge MC campground. unfortunately i had to cut the trip short because of the torrential rain. but i was able to gear up in my waterproof Klim suit and pack everything on my bike while still inside the tent. the last step was to roll the bike out and pack the tent--3 minutes tops. Setting it up is also quick and dirty after the first couple times.



the wing wouldn't fit, so it had to go! that and goldwings suck!!!!



the bandit is gone, but I still have the hammock and tarp that i made. I carry bothe the Redvz and the hammock and use which ever i choose depending on the site and the weather.

Last night in Yosemite, added some LED to the inside of the tent, and then walked around the bike with a flashlight.
About a 55 second exposure, F10, on a tripod.

Yesterday, near Caherdaniel on the Ring of Kerry in the Emerald Isle. Bit cool and windy though.The surf breaking on the beach kept me awake all evening so not the smartest place to pitch a tent although it was sheltered behind the rock.

Cool pic..Reminds me of near my hometown in Newfoundland. The sounds of the waves would have put me to sleep.

Great idea

Certainly a good basic idea. Wonder how he works out issues with rain, bugs, etc. Seems like realistically you're still going to need a tent.

Trailer seems problematic on many levels,tent is most compact and a room now and then is still cheaper than building and maintaining a trailer,but it still struck me as cool.

Pretty cool, but I think the tiny cot would be uncomfortable. I love the small galley, but would simply throw a tent, fold up cot, and blowup mattress in the trailer instead of cramming myself into the coffin sized bunk.

It said patent pending, I would venture to say that the finished product would have some kind of a cover on it. For the video purposes though I can understand leaving it off.

If I remember right, there was a build thread somewhere here on ADV about that trailer. I remember reading something about it coming about because the guy has a bad back.

Me and my tent in Picos de Europa, Spain... In retrospective, I didn't need that big of a tent. Will try to get a smaller one for solo rides.
