From the way-back machine, Ducati 450 Desmo roadracer, from Harry's Motor's in Denver Colorado, Back in the day,
ummmm......wher'd that picture of teh AJS go? I like that, very much......though i like any 500cc singles
Actually, It isn't a Triumph, rather, a Yamaha XS650 . The pipes appear to be Omar's mile pipes, and the tank appears to be either from a Yamaha XS1100 or Kawasaki KZ1000/KZ1100. oldxs650
The "beautiful" yamaha indicators give it away, if not the cast wheels. Those bloody indicators are stil gettin garound onthe 250 viragos........there must be a junk yard full of them somewhere, or runway blokes are using them to signal planes in.
Been there few times.... I'm an over-the-road truck driver and only get home every 3-4 weeks, so time off is limited and track day and racing are on weekends. That limits my "bar hopping" greatly.
Hopfully these are some pics of a project that should be done real soon, it needs only to paint the fairing and tail section http://photobucket.com" target="_blank">https://www.advrider.com/advrider-photobucket-images/images/r/rtjohn_DSCN1246.jpg"" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket" border="0"><A href="http://i144.photobucket.cohttp://i144.photobucket.comhttp://i144.photobucket.com/albu ms/r185/rtjohn/DSCN1400.jpg/albums/r185/rtjohn/DSCN1399.jpgm/albums/r185/rtjohn /DSCN1250.jpg" target=_blank>http://i144.photobucket.cohttp://i144.photobucket.comhttp://i144.photobucket.com/albu ms/r185/rtjohn/DSCN1400.jpg/albums/r185/rtjohn/DSCN1399.jpgm/albums/r185/rtjohn DSCN1250.jpg <A href="https://www.advrider.com/advrider-photobucket-images/images/r/rtjohn_DSCN1399.jpghttps://www.advrider.com/advrider-photobucket-images/images/r/rtjohn_DSCN1250-2.jpg">https://www.advrider.com/advrider-photobucket-images/images/r/rtjohn_DSCN1399.jpghttps://www.advrider.com/advrider-photobucket-images/images/r/rtjohn_DSCN1250-2.jpg
I would ride mine to the track. Closest that I'd ride was 120 miles each way. My favorite was 180-ish each way, so I'd add a few miles and take a scenic ride home.
My 1960s Monkey Wards 125 cafe racer. I'm hoping to ride this in this year's California Giro. It's a provisional bike for that event but I don't have the money to buy a bike that normally qualifies. After I finish my lap round the world on my Ducati, then maybe I'll get one that qualifies. I'll post a picture of my round the world bike in the vintage thumpers section in a bit.
