Good info. Thanks, Moto. I'll talk to Tom about this the next time I'm up there.

What did I do to it?

Thrashed it around on a moto track. Kept the bags and GPSs on for the full effect.

I installed a different jet in the clutch tonight and now the stupid thing wont shift gears. Any tricks? I havent been able to start the bike yet, its totally tore down. I tried moving the rear tire, I took it off the center stand rocked it back and forth pretty hard...nothing. -pulling in the clutch does not move it into neutral.

Maybe I should keep it, it worked great and if needed could be used as kindling?

Here's a sneak peek of the new look:

Thats the problem with too large a clutch oil jet. and oh, its not the bike who's stupid :deal

Blip the throttle with the clutch pulled in and then try to shift gears. Of course you need to start the engine up to be able to do this.

I wanted some longer pegs to spread the load across the entire width of my foot.

I found some donor pegs and cut the tips off.

Welded them together, squirted on some paint, and baked it in the oven for an hour.

Installed on the bike & took for a test ride. Nirvana. :clap

Net cost: 50 cents of spray paint and 4 cents for the electricity to weld & grind.

Today I added rim stickers, KTM top case, went through all of the suspension settings, mounted the right mirror on the new bar clamp and off of the master cyl, added the orange frame protectors by the foot pegs, and installed UNI prefilter. Spring can't come soon enough!

Just finished a major tune up.

Get this...47k miles of romping and...

-Waterpump looked great, no need for replacement but put in the CJ one anyway.
-Valves were spot on, last checked at 36k.
    -Nothing leaks or squeaks.

This bike has been ridden hard and maintained on time every time. It's comforting to have a bike that's built so well and can go the distance.

Well done my Austrian brothers. Well done.
