I'm new to the forum and looking for some good dual sporting areas around Asheville. I have a KTM 450XC with a supermoto set up along with the full dirt set up.

Thanks for the reply! I recently discovered a fellow inmate is a neighbor to me. We are planning on riding the Hurricane Creek ride via Hot Springs and Max Patch. If everything works out Sunday, we are riding Curtis Creek road up to the BRP. I'm glad you mentioned Pinnacle Mountain Road. I've been looking for that on on the map. I was not aware of Big Witch road. I will Google these.

I rode Bent Creek over to Mills River campground and out Yellow Gap road this past Sunday. I then went up the BRP and back home via 151. That was a good ride. Check out my ride report threads with photos in the Day Trippin forum.

I attended Wedge night last night with the wife. We also went to Prichard Park to "people" watch.

A few of us are going riding near Hot Springs Saturday and from what I've been told we're going to end up someplace in TN. I have to remember my camera this time.

Not formally yet, but yes, Pete is my neighbor; it is a small world. My work keeps me out of town more than I like but I hope to make it to Wedge Wednesday in a few weeks.

Where does Hurricane Creek Rd let out (starting at I-40)? Anything a bit closer to Asheville proper?

I heard someone ran a dozer from one end to the other.... I've not been out to see in person. Did they groom the complete road/trail?

Any close-by trails in the area of 240 & 26 on the north side of Asheville? Looks like Hurricane is a good 40 minute ride.. looking for something a little closer in.

not really anything. some gravel roads out around bent creek, you can ride over to Brevard area. Cant think of anything else close to town.
How long are you in town?
