here.. but only in the next two weeks or first good snowfall .. here is near Yosemite's south entrance BTW. You also have Jawbone OHV/California City/Randsburg areas in the desert.

yep, the desert from Mammoth Mt ski resort to Nevada n back in a favorite, lots of riding out there, but seasonal snow is now the issue, Death valley would be a place for the winter

Looking at the forecast, Saturday looks good for an easy dirt ride......I'm just thinking of riding around pine flat, big creek rd, sycamore springs, maybe nutmeg saddle to see where the snow line is......leave late, home early 10am-4pm'ish....anyone?:1drink

Have fun on Sat, I'll be at work.:cry If the weather forecast holds I'm thinking you will find snow.

Went for a ride today to break-in the new front tire and my new handlebars before the snow comes. Rode up Jose Basin rd. to the Old R-R Grade road just past the penstock. The road was closed due to a crew replacing a large culvert. Turned around and rode up Musick farm rd. and then down old Tollhouse rd. Nice 72 mile loop to clear the cobwebs.

    Who wants to go?

Same plan as last year, ride in from Cal City to Furnace Creek.

On Friday, it was 187 miles last year, same route, but include the Escape route this time...Mostly dirt.

Site #100 reserved. Friday, ride over, stay fri, sat, sun, come back on Monday.

So far it's you, Windrat(Bob), Jack, and me. Just you me and maybe the Grinch(Peter) riding over, so far...
