Yes, this will conclude all the talk about retags. This poll will be opened for one week, so everyone will be given the opportunity to be heard!:D

Your pole is skewed. There should be a two part vote, first yes or no on retags to begin. Then if the vote is yes, the time frame should then be voted on.

As it stands now 3 people could vote no, 2 for two years and 2 for three years. So then the people that voted yes would loose. Skewed vote!!

JCCC has done an incredible job over the years keeping this game moving, interesting, and fun. He has put a fair amount of time into the maps, so that old tags can be easily checked.

An inadvertent re-tag by a newbie is one thing. I don't think any of us has a problem overlooking this and having the game move on.

A retag by an experienced tagger, who just doesn't feel like spending a couple of minutes checking the maps and the drop town for retags, is less acceptable.

It is not hard to snap a couple of new tags, then go home and check them before posting. New tags don't have to be posted from the road. It's also not that hard to plan ahead with a new tag and have it checked and ready to go.

Why when someone called for a vote did you stay quiet, wait for the rest of us to think there was resolution by those that cared to be heard, then start this thread /poll a day and a half later.

Don't get me wrong, everyone appreciates the effort you have put into the tag maps, but all this seems silly.

Maybe just start a new and improved HV TOR, where it is clear in the rules that retags will not be accepted?:dunno

    Just my .02.

For the record, I voted that we are all wack jobs, but truth be told, I should have voted yes after three years.

What's the private vote bs. Wise blood said the most active current tavgers should decide. Active taggers should already have voted and there is absolutely no reason to remain nameless:deal

    Cut out the bullshit already.

I refuse to vote. I already voted in the previous go round. That should be enough.

I still think the thread should be closed and a new one started.

True. I mean really, we need an anonymous vote? Why, has someone threatened you if you don't vote the way they think you should? :rofl

Although, members here have been known to leave tampons on bike seats. :rofl

I am currently compiling a list of taggers since jan 1 2012. I am up to page 453. I have to go out but will finish count later. I say top 10 or so taggers should make any decisions.. No I wont be one of them since I took last year off. :deal

So what happens if "Wack jobs" gets the most votes? I guess we need another vote then?

No thought went into the validity of this pole.

Very good idea. Start a new game that allows retags. Simple. Will eliminate one of the fun parts of the game (finding something new), but if that's what some of you want, just go ahead and do it.

The present game has been going on for almost 5 years now, and has been spectacular. And most of the more-then-once players knew they weren't supposed to repeat the tags. That is why JCCC spent the time to make maps. And everytime a repeat happened in the past, the "dropper" just dropped a new tag.

Changing it to two, three, four years back for re-tags really doesn't help. You would still have to review the maps, and figure out the dates. Harder then the present system.

So, how about you all stop the bullying and just vote? Or start your own game?
