The Mojave and DV is home turf for me but this is one of the best ride / photo reports I've seen.

    Well done!

    I love your photos!
    and the ride report!

Now I wan't to know how you manage to take the photos when you're riding the bike!

What camera do you use? I don't think I want to use my huge Canon 1Ds while riding, as I'm sure it would cause an accident :)

    Hi Dave,

I think I've read all of your RR's and have really enjoyed everything that I've read. Your photos are a real treat too. Thanks for taking an old man to places I'll never make it to on my own bikes!

Hey Rob! I watched all 4 of your Lippencott Grade VIDEOS again last night to re-live that ride. Great Videos! I got scared all over again. I made the mistake of letting the wife watch Lippencott Grade 3. She cussed me out and declared I'll never get to leave the house again!:rofl

If you guys haven't seen Larryboy's Videos they start on this page of his RR: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=644457&highlight=calls&page=20

Don't let your mother see them.:evil

Ahem... Where were we? Dangling off the side of the mountains?

The Yamaha pitches down the next grade.

I round the corner to an unexpected obstacle and must rein the big beast in on the slippery slope.

That Yamaha has a beautiful patina, huh?

I rounded one corner and saw a dip ahead just like the thousands before. I didn't realized it was a water crossing until I was splashing across. Surprise! I whipped out the camera just in time to catch the Yamaha taking a bath.

Willi snapped some shots of me getting soaked from head to toe in this crossing. Brisk! I haven't heard from Willi yet, but I hope to have the pics he shot someday.

I just had to document the morning's top speed from a straight section of Saline Valley Road just before it turned to asphalt. Guess I'd better pull over a wait for the Yamaha.:D 78 MPH on DV Dirt!
