Damn. I met Flavio on the road in Ethiopia, quite the guy! I'm glad he's ok though. Is he the one who's arranged your trip to Erta Ale (love the pic).

On the road again, and of course as often as possible on that tracks, where there aren’t many cars around.

The route is different in many parts.
Like South Sudan, east coast of lake turkana, Mosambique and of course Madagascar.

You can ask me when I'm back in Salzburg, no problem.

Joe, since you are now clearly on the road, with red mud on the tires, how about some early first impressions of the 1190R?

I will also be following your report! Interested in the 1190. The range sounds very good.

I also like the Pirelli Scorpion Rally tires, have them in the same size as you plan to use on my RXV 550

You're a great photographer as well as adventurer. Still, when I hear Pichler and Austria, I think great wines.

Greatings from Prague, Jo and the very best for the rest of the ride!
Looking forward for more pics and impressions. :-)

I'm still undecided what to buy next spring... This new 1190R, the last 990R or to adventurize the 690 (surely the best offroad, but two cilinders are two cilinders)...?! :hmmmmm

If a Hamer guy is leaving his home village as an.
He has to carry two things, his seat and a Kalashnikov.

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p>Caleb on his 525 EXC is going with me along the east coast of Lake Turkana to Elye Springs.
It’s a bit unfair, he’s the much better rider and has the much lighter motorcycle.

Not too many people ride the dirt track from Todanyang directly to Kalokol, close to the Lake Turkana. But it’s a really nice riding there.

<o:p>From Kalokol to Elye Spring then there is no track anymore. Either you go through deep sand, or along the shore. But it isn’t always easy.
