Took the DRZ out for it's official "first day in the dirt" this year. I started by trying some roads on the North side of Lake McClure, but they were all dead ends and I had to return to the pavement. I took some nice pictures of the area though. After that, I screwed around Dog Town for a few minutes. Then I was off to Old Yosemite Road. I started to see some spots of snow and mud, but nothing to bad. I tried to get to Trumbull Peak, but it was closed off. I could have ridden around the fence, but it really wasn't that big of a deal to go there. I've been there a few times before. Little Nelly Falls The road to Foresta in Yosemite NP. They had a pretty good fire here awhile back. It's going to take awhile for the area to recover. Half Dome in the background, and a sign that the Blair Witch had been in the area. Yosemite Falls. Bridalveil Falls. Headed back home, Coulterville in the distance. I had a great day of riding.
Looks familiar, I think we rode that area last Spring a time or two...I finally found a "Pavement Ends" ends sign, and when I ventrured onto the Kansas side of the Missouri River, found more, I am going to head back over there next weekend, weather permitting and try and get lost.....so to speak.. Lots of this going on here on the Missouri side!!! I was able to find the BIG HOUSE, but no pictures allowed so what you are seeing is not what it appears, although it does look alot like the Military Prison in Leavonworth Kansas. But I wouldn't know for sure... The Mighty Missouri River, actually all of this was under water this time last year, I don't think the water went down until sometime in September Well anyway I miss California and its riding, Four months and I am home.... Ride Safe!!!
