Last night on I40 west of Knoxville I hit something and put a hole in my tire at 80 mph plus. Kept my bike and was able to call some kinfolk to haul my bike to Chattanooga. The hole is big enough I could stick my pinky finger in it. I put 2 plugs in it to get it to hold air long enough to load it. I was headed to New Hampshire to see my daughter and only have 9 days off. Does not appear to be any dealers open. I have R1200GSA and need a 150/70/17. Running Metzler Tourance but beggars cannot be choosers. Anybody have a tire or know of a stores within 100 miles that I can get a tire on Sunday or Monday? Any help would be apreciated.

Thanks! I only get to see my daughter a couple of times a year and I need to get back on the road ASAP. My kinfolks just went to church but said they can run me around after that. I am gonna pull the wheel to have that done. I did not pack tire tools though so would need access to a place o change...I hate using screw drivers to take wheel off. I am watching the thread so will be waiting...

Dogscout is bringing me a tire but he does not have any spoons. Any local inmates give me access to tire changing equipment around Chattanooga!

I know I'm way far out of the way, but if all fails I have a HF tire changer and NoMar bar, plus a Marc Parnes balancer that you're welcome to use.

For any future dilemma's like these to all local riders -

I have access to a tire changer and full workshop 24x7 in Ellijay, I also know that Rider's Hill just north of Dahlonega is open Wed > Sun 9 to 6 and carries Tourance and many other tires. www.ridershill.com

Glad all worked out in the end. Just saw this thread now.

Would be great to do that in all areas. Bad thing is I am a member of BMW MOA but left my black book at the house:baldy It would have been hard to beat the response u guys gave. I was feeling pretty isolated last night standing beside my bike on I40 in the dark. Luckily, my wifes aunt and uncle live in Bryant AL and came got me. And thanks to Randy who stopped on his DR 200 to hang out with me and help me load the GSA into that S10 pickup. Love you guys:beer Now to get ready for tomorrow. Gonna stop in Harrisburg PA. My ass is not up for another 940 mile day on a stock GSA seat:lol3
