Mark - is that you?! I wondered since I knew you had a blue Strom.

Glad that didn't interfere with your weekend or getting home safely!

Awesome, awesome weekend! The venue was perfect, the food was amazing, and the weather was.... well, typical.

The Eastern RDV was the first ADV rally I ever attended (several years ago, of course) and I'm happy to see that it is still going on, bigger and better than ever! Hats off to Silke and Hunter and the rest of the gang for keeping it going. Rick would have loved it!

Great seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

Can someone share the jambalaya recipe? That stuff was awesome.

Of course, for my household of two the recipe would need to be reduced greatly.... :evil

I left a day early also. Looking at the weather map, it looked like a smart choice. I rode through rain for the 1st 4 hours or so, then scattered showers till Indy. Sunday was a great day until I hit severe weather 2ish hours from home. The forecast for today is rain all day with a good chance of severe storms across my whole route.

I had so much fun. Met lots of fantastic people and like every other rally is making me think how and when I can go again.

    Cheers to all.

    25 pound bag of rice.

The key is pouring the rice in, not just tossing in the whole bag. Need to be specific.

Hats off to Silke, Hunter and the whole group of RDV volunteers. Your efforts are most appreciated.

Herding cats is supposed to be difficult but Silke can turn a colony of feral cats into a flash mob.:clap:clap:clap

    That's crazy. :huh

Thanks everyone, I can't even imagine putting together something like that for 175 people. I too took off Saturday, figured if I was going to ride in the rain all day I might as well end up in my own shower and bed. :D

Thanks again, it was a great time.

Enjoyed my time listening to Bernie and Tom swap stories on Saturday while the rain pattered on the roof of the back porch.
