    Joel,
You surely set the standard for performing same day ride reports. I am still working on the KOTW video, hope to have it ready this Friday.

Here is last Saturday's Ride Report.

Anyway, it was a cold Thanksgiving weekend Saturday morning and we were set to meet Ruugger at Mikes Cafe in Mojave for the usual fare.
    [IMG][IMG]
Ruugger had already ordered, some weird stuff that I don't suggest eating before a ride. Pepper covered cottage cheese with salsa....more on this later.

Here is a picture of the jacket in its perfect condition.

2 minutes later Ruugger was approaching Nowwhats waiting spot on the hill climb and Ruugger rides ride off the edge :huh:eek1 in front of him. Nowwhat comes back down the hill to get me, I was worried for our friend.

Nowwhat and I hiked up to help Ruugger's bruised KTM down the hillside.
The rider fared pretty well under the circumstances, bike.....eh
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
Nowwhat pointing out how lucky Ruugger really was...
Ruugger left part of his subframe on the hillside, and left us to start the ride without him. DNS
    [IMG]

Then it was 2, Nowwhat sporting some new body protection items
    [IMG]
Trails were nice, but no chocolate cake and yes I had to clean the air filter. For some reason rain clouds don't make there way here when it rains everywhere else.

Oh, and I had the camera in a speed holster. We made it up this hill pretty easy considering it was looser than usual.

    Then the caravans ....
    [IMG][IMG]
Then we came to his hill that I had a tough time making it up. 3rd attempt was a charm, Nowwhat made it up first try.
I couldn't get traction on this stuff to get a run at the little rock face so I rolled down another 15 yards.

2 minutes later you HAVE to climb this one. It was fun, second try success.
Then we are off to Randsberg
    [IMG]
Nowwhat stands this thing straight up...
Then we spent $17 on 2 "bowls" of chili, 1 hot dog, 1 power bar and 1 small Gatorade. Chili was good though.
    :D
    [IMG]
I used to have a brochure of this bike in my school notebook...

Well then we hit some of this and headed back to the truck, all radars on full alert.

How awesome is this picture taken by MiddleAgedMissile Saturday!!!:clap

I was probably pretty easy to photograph since I was so slow. I crashed 3x. Same crash every time, lost the front in loamy soil. Hit/ran over/ jumped the same bush 3x too. (I never learn I guess)

But, I SURVIVED, I think I was on the biggest bike there, and I wasn't dead last (by 1) so whooohooo!! If the Catalina GP goes again, it's seriously not to be missed, one of the greatest days I've ever had.:deal

it was a good ride, 2 fresh inmates, new to me trail, good lunch, nice weather, no crashy, beats staying home cuz it's too cold, and of course just happy to be in the outdoor with the PPs.

thanks isaac, earl, bob, john, and duy.....till the next one!....:1drink

No, it was busy but it wasn't jam packed. There were folks scattered all over the course. I wish I could have stayed all weekend like I'd planned to cuz it really would have been fun to watch some of the races, esp the pros today. No noobs allowed (them IDIOTS let me in though:rofl) so it was pretty good riding to watch (except for me... and I'm sure I was pretty amusing too)

I kinda flew into a pretty big crowd... Yep I was almost that guy that killed the Catalina GP forever if I'd hit a spectator:eek1 Fortunately they all ran out of the way pretty quickly:deal
