MPH. With power applied while on our wonderfully smooth (NOT!) Toll roads up here in Tohoku region of Japan.

How do you like your muffin-top bags? How did you mount them to the SW-Motech racks?

Finally did it. I'm finally apart of the "cool kids club" as I picked up a Raven S10 today. Pics are pending once I get the bike in front of some worthy backgrounds.

Little heartbroken after letting the Vee go. I lived off that bike for a few months while traveling tens of thousands of miles. I guess if you're with something for a significant amount of time as it carries you around, you grow attached to it.

    Congrats :clap

Same here, wasn't easy to let the old Vee go, but going to a good home instead of sitting in the shed corroding was a better option. I wasn't riding it anymore.

The S10 just solved all the first world problems I had with the Vee.

If you promise to treat the S10 the same way you describe you Vee, "live off it for months while traveling tens of thousands of miles", you will be posting in this thread how attached you have become to it too.

This bike has served up more adventure to me in 2 years than I could have imagined. It didn't erase a lifetime of previous bike memories, but it trumped them all. It is so "capable". Far more than I predicted.

    Congrats!

They are the proverbial reliable rocks, both in function and ruggedness. Here's the SW-Motech rack bolted to a box. I just undo the 4 quick release fasteners to take off the bike. On each side of the aluminum is a fender washer and I used stainless fiber locking nuts.

    Never had a leak, either.

Nice comparison photo with the Triumph, I like the way that the Super Ténéré looks like a big dirt bike whereas the Triumph looks like a road bike with far too much of it hunched over the front wheel. (IMO It also looks like a BMW).

Micano set VS Italian Dakar design philosophies. :lol3

Notice how high the exhaust headers sit on the Triumph. The head is way up there.

No wonder it's a bit Toppy. Allegedly. Never to be mentioned in a triumph forum of course.
