Anyone try Adventurepipe Exhaust Yet?

Hi all,

About to take the plung for an exhaust upgrade and was about to order some akra's. Then I stumbled on these adventurepipe's which I hadn't heard of before. Basically I believe a modified supertrap with some nice stated peeps? Anyone have first hand knowledge of these? Here's what they claim I'm about to bite!!!! Smarter part of me said ask you Pro's!!!!

Get 5 more ponies, a beautiful sound, USFS approved spark arrestor, and backpressure/flow/loudness adjustability in a great looking, durable Stainless Steel exhaust system. AME (Adventure Motorcycle Equipment) adapts SuperTrapp silencers to the KTM 950 offering the best value KTM exhaust system on the planet.

exaust

i just bought the new fmf pipe at my local ktm dealer and the sound is just
amazing. Not quite as loud as akro without the insert but much louder than stock.i compare that sound to a ducati its very deep and very mean.
i rode a 950 with the akros they are cool, loud and very expensive also very lightweight since there made out of titanium. the fmf are lightweight also i compare the weight of the stock and the fmf and its almost unreal.the ktm advertising says that you will shave 10,9 lbs and its true.have fun both models are cool almost same sound and 350$ cheaper

Thanks for the reply Frank

I appriciate your response. Did you happen to check these adventure pipe out? Money was part of the issue for me to start looking for a comparable yet cheaper pipe to the akro's. I had finally said screw it and was going to pay for the akro's when I found these. What I liked was the fact they had an approved spark arrester along with adjustable sound level, no jetting etc mod's required, lighter, more HP, etc. as per most after market exhaust. Just hate to be the first dummy to take the chance without more reliable evidence. Sounds real good though and at $649 a nice drop from the akro's???????

It would be sweet if one side could be used for storage, like the one they make for the F650GS.

I tried a pair of http://adventure-motorcycle.com pipes. They are SuperTraps pipe. They are good pipe I just didn't like them and sold them to someone on this forum a year or so ago they were just to loud for me.

Fmf

I've got the supertrapps (same thing). Bought from someone on this board (though not Craig) who also found them too loud. I don't mind the sound much. Better than stock but not as smooth or pleasing as others. Need occaisional repacking to keep em sounding nice. I've tried different numbers of discs with no noticeable change in sound or performance. I'll probably switch to FMFs when time ($$) is right.

FMFs also have approved spark-arrestor, sound better, and are cheaper (new). In a nutshell, get the FMFs.
