Acrapovic and rejetting!

Hi there.
I have a new 950 Adv who is cough below 4000 rpm, and i have the Acrapovics mounted, and with the silencer out, sounds correct!

I talk to the shop today and ask about this, and they told me this:

" Hi there,
I have ordered new jets for you today, 170 for the rear carb and 165 for the front carb.
Then lift the needle one position and put away one of the lid from the airbox."

How much can i earn if i will do this? (Sorry for my bad language, but i hope you understand...)

It sounds like very bad idea. just put a #45 pilot jet in, or a #70 air jet in the bell housing and leave everything else stock. Try it first! Enjoy

K2m has it right

Ive you are at see level (which i'm also im living in Holland/Netherlands)

Just pop in the #70 airjet, needles about 3rd clip, get rid off the SAS/EPC
155/160 mains, frontmixturescrew at 1.5 and rear screw 1.75 turns
and it will run like hell

Aha, is this like another religion, like the thread about which oil...
Is there nothing who tell what you should du if you mount Acra on the bike, or is it like you say, everyone find their own way?

We have only been working on this for about 15 months. I've got a box with about 30 jets, and have been using a wideband A/F metre. Consider your self lucky to have appeared at the end. I have had my bike apart at least 50 times.
It's not necessary to change your main jetting because of fitting Acras. But if you change your air box, or filter, well that's a different story

Just go to this website,

www.advmachines.com

tell them your configuration, i.e. exhausts type, sas fitted/not fitted, uni prefilter, operating altitude etc etc and they will send you the exact jets to make it run perfect with full fitting instructions.

Excellent people to deal with and wow what a change in performance, my dealer reckoned my 950 pulled like a 990 and would just snap the front wheel in the air as it launched straight to the redline, no hesitation just perfect carburation.

Reasonable price even with shipping from the states.
Don't waste your time with guesswork these guys have done their homework.

Good onya excellent work, loved the performance until I wrote the bike of a couple of weeks ago when I hit a cow.
I will be investing in another jet kit shortly for my replacement 950 unless I go 990 and face a whole new heap of issues with FI.
