I normally use SWMoto for my mail order tires, but they stopped carrying the OEM for my ST1100. Based on a recommendation from a lister over on the ST1100 list, I tried American Motorcycle Tire - didn't have any issues and was pleased with the transaction - I'll use them again for this particular tire.

No, but there prices are inline with Southwest Moto Tire or tires unlimited. I've bought about 3 sets of tires from Southwest Moto tire and have been told good things about tires unlimited.

But they do not carry what I need
Tires unlimited does not appear to carry what I need and SWMOTO is closed right now, but I am going to see what their prices are on my tires. I am choosing to go with the OE tires for my Connie since I can not make a decision on something new with all the opinions on what to mount. I had a good 10K on my old tires, so they will do for another 10K until I get more info.
I will check with SW, but these guy can ship me front and back for 166 with tax and shipping and I am not sure many people will be able beat that. So far 214 inclusive is the next best price from MC super store.

I've bought tires from them, no problems. The prices are such that you have to include shipping and see whose cheaper. It varies back and forth. JT

If you need 2 or more SWMoto is a few dollars cheaper. If you only need one, Chaparral usually has the best price I've found. I used to buy from STARCycle but as soon as they got a little press they stopped being competitive. YRMV

Payment question
I sent an email to AM tire with this and am waiting to hear back, so I thought might ask here.
I have a bill for 2 tires that totals 165 and some change and they say for AMEX there is fee of 1.10% of the total and paypal is 0.50% of the total and when I do the math that comes out to 181 and change and paypal is 89 dollars. Does anyone who has used them and these payment methods know if it is .110 for AMEX and .050 for paypal? Thanks, Devin
