KLR front Fender, what do you use?
HI I questions for all you with a KLR
For a front Fender, what do you use when you decided to remove the stock one? I have seen many improvements from you and would like to change mine, any suggestions? I am looking at Acerbis but I would like to have more options. Damasovi |

+1 for acerbis supermoto fender.
con: some flecks of mud/water come over the front edge of the muffler somehow.

all of the acerbis fenders are 2-3 inches shorter on the back side than the factory KLR fender. That is just enough to get spray up into the engine, on you, and let the errant rock into the radiator. You can add a "fenda extenda" out of whatever plastic or rubber you like to solve the problem.
I found the supermoto fender too short up front, let too much mud spray over the top onto me while riding down my dirt road. I went with the acerbis KTM replica Acerbis Front Fender Black - 2001 KTM 400 MXC 4 Stroke Part# 15830805 I think that is the rockymountainatv part #, not the acerbis # Pic is in JAFO's fender thread.

You have to drill out the mounting holes a little bit, but this fender works really nice. Rode it through a lot of rain and crap recently and didn't catch anything in my face ![]() p.s. I believe that is the actual Acerbis part # that is listed in the quote. |

OK I guess is an Acerbis, by the way I don't ride much in the dirt so flying rocks is not a problem for, wind is the stuff that worries me.
Than you for the input so far, and keep it coming Damasovi |

You might want to look into the XS fairing/fender combo. It also includes a new adjustable windshield that claims to give you smoother air. I don't have one, but it looks interesting. Might install one this winter.
