There is no hardpacked sand in Mozambique

I learned that the hard way.

I am certainly one really lucky girl. Not only did I survive the sand in Mozambique, but I had the opportunity to ride an R12GS in South Africa, Mozambique and Swaziland. It was a trip of a life time. Combining my love of Africa with my love of riding and to enjoy both with my bestest friends in the world.

It was amazing. After several trips to South Africa, this trip left me with the impression that I had really seen it for the very first time. Words cannot describe the experience and the pictures do not do it justice. But y'all have been pm'ing me and asking..."well, where is the ride report?"

Here it is, mostly in pictures.

There are certain images that will be burned in my brain forever. Mostly the children I saw and the women.

Onto the riding part....I know you boys want me to get to that.

Here I am picking up my brand new R12GS. Red looks smashing!

It was slightly used when I returned it.

First day out after overcoming my fear of riding on the left side of the road and the Jo'Burg traffic.

Some dirt roads that were hardpacked.

About time...

Hi, Grace.
Sure enjoyed the trip. I missed it till now as the only service I had in Maine was Dial-Up.
Smiles are a universal currency.
Fond memories of our get acquainted ride awhile ago.
Come see us down here sometime.
