I picked up a set of Enduro Engineering aluminum handguards on the cheap. They look as good as new and all I paid for was the shipping. All of the mounting hardware was included. I tried to put them on my stock steel bars ('97 KLR 250). The main issue is that the mounting inserts are way too small for the bar ends, how do I remedy that? I looked at the company website and didn't see anyting there that looked like it fit the bill. Any help with this would be appreciated.

handguards
You can find a piece of rubber hose that is close to the inner diameter of the bar, slide it over the bolt and put a nut(and washer if needed) on it. Tighten the nut till the rubber will just fit inside the bar. You should be able to continue tightening to continue fattening up your inner rubber to anchor it. Some handguard kits still come with the rubber pieces for steel bars. At one time this was the way to anchor all handguards.
