Drooling over 07 DL1000

The dealer just got in a black 07 DL1000. Whats another $9,000? If Suzuki discontinues this bike I am going to be .

100,000 mile engine. If I bought another, it would be a slightly used one with an instant $2k going into suspension upgrades, sprocket changes, and tuning. A fantastic bike for touring, chewing up back roads, crappy pavement, and intermittant dirt roads.

However, if you are going to buy new, either Strom makes a wonderful value. The suspensions aren't horrible - unless you weigh 200 pounds and are myopic enough to hit every bump in the county (me).

I asked my dealer if he'd heard any rumors of Suzuki discontinuing the V-Strom and he assured me to his knowledge it's not true.

I have a blue one.

I have an 07 DL650 and an 07 XT225 for the wife. If I came home with an 07 DL1000, my wife would have me committed to a psychiatric evaluation. There is no cure for my disease though. I want to wait 2 years before going back in for another one if you know what I mean. Thats why I hope it doesn't get dropped from the product line.

Replace the 650 with the 1K and see if she notices?

After riding all the different bikes I have had since 1973 I could not imagine loving another bike more than my 2003 Yellow DL1000 -

Until I got my 2007 Black DL1000 !!!!

10 days later I had almost 3000 miles on the meter!

No doubt they'll keep making them, at least for Australia -

The only dif from my 03 to my 07 is:

SEAT is way better on the 07 as is the windshield adjustability and the Gage package is prettier.. I kinda like the hi-blink button also!!!

Otherwise all is the same.... I got the 07 since I could same a BUNDLE of cash on this last remaining 07 versus getting an 08 that is the same bike

I sold my black '04 Wee for a new black '07 Vee and the wife SUGGESTED it!

The '07 in black is different 'cause it has the silver upper fairing, and that's the part that made me think "black is beautiful" too. Way nicer than the all-black '04!
