BC ride suggestions needed !
Hey all! My brothers and i are trying to plan out our annual summer ride together . This year we want to go up to BC and do some riding. I'm looking for good scenic road rides. I ride a KLR650, One brother rides a SV650 and the other one rides a Bonnevile T100. We are going to start in Spokane Wa and want to end up on the coast and then ride back on the North Cascade Highway back to Spokane.
We have about 4 days to ride and plan on riding at the end of June so hopefully weather will be decent. I have not been to the interior of BC and am just curious what roads we should be touring on. Our time is kind of limited and we hope to do some camping along the way. Any and all suggestions are wanted!
Thanks for your time,
05 Klr 650
68 Honda Z 50
66 Honda 305 Dream
60 LI 150 Lambretta
To many former bikes to list here....

Weather won't be an issue, you might want to find more than 4 days though. Head NE from Spokane through Glacier then back west through the Crowsnest. Creston then up 3A to ferry, cross the lake then down to Nelson - side trip upto Kaslo is worth the ride. Over to 6 then north through the Slocan valley to Nakusp, south to the Needles ferry, across the Monashees to Vernon. South to Kelowna, 33 down to Rock Creek, west on 3 to Abbostford. South on 9 to Burlington and the North Cascades Hiway. Give me a call when you get to Bellingham.

Thats a pretty good ride but don't forget to include a loop around Kelowna, Vernon via Westside Rd probably the best twisty scenic paved road in BC. If you have more time head up Lilooet, Merritt, Spences Bridge way too. Awesome stuff. Try and stay away from Vancouver at all costs. Major traffic. 99 south to Vancouver Island Ferry and down the Island on the small coast roads and back to Washington, Anacortez ferry. If you still want more go highway 20 east to Winthrop an on. All fantastic stuff. Hardly any lousy riding in BC.

Here are a few REALLY nice roads. All paved
Duffy Lake Road - bumpy but very nice scenery and almost NO traffic.
Joffre Lake - 10 min walk from the hwy
Hwy 5a - Merritt to Kamloops - wide open high country ranchland skirting beautiful lakes
Westside Road - Vernon to Kelowna - the lake is so stunning it distracts your attention from riding
Lots more to choose from - feel free to email me for more ideas

A very reasonable and spotless B&B worth checking out at Columbia Cycle in Nakusp, run by Laverda and Italian bike guru Wolfgang and lovely wife Margo. Extremely nice people, totally nuts about bikes, with full repair facilities.
