Can you put a 21" wheel on Xcountry?

Anyone know if you can put the XChallenge wheelset on the Xcountry? I know you'd have to ditch the low fender. And if you only put a 21" front wheel on, will it screw up the handling if you don't figure out how to raise the back?

Not sure about the X Challenge wheel, but if you raise the fork tubes 1", the geometry will be very close to stock (depending on the tire you choose)
