from CT to VT,NH,ME almost 1200 miles on 4th of July weekend

My head is still spinning from all that riding so instead of writing a report I will like to share some pics and few comments.

Well we decided to go for a short ride during the 4th of July weekend, nothing planned - just simply ride north.

weapons of choice?
2002 Kawasaki ZZR 1200 - johnny rocket
1999 Bmw R1100R _ Wrathchild
2003 Bmw R1150 GSA _ me ( Jerry )

cameras used: canon powershot
and nikon d200

departure friday morning 7:30am

we took I91 through Mass. and hit the back roads once in NH.

on the way to mt. Washington,

there was a young moose drinking water by the side of the road, so naturally people had to stop in the middle of our lane to take pictures of this very unusual phenomena

quick rest on main parking lot

and decision was made, we are going in!!! or up,

it was my first time going up the mountain so it was interesting, specially with my fear of heights

like I said

once on top we meet one more ADV rider, from CT cool dude with awesome bike

it was very windy that day

always favorite posing "STIG" style

after this awesome (for me ) adventure we found this kick ass motel just few miles from mt. Washintgon

the price was right and owners are great people

BBQ set-up out back, we meet this cool couple from England just traveling around NH for few weeks,

after nice BBQ dinner, we spent some time by the fire drinking beer and talking about ---- motorcycle traveling

and that it was time to hit the sack, does pink make me look fat?

day two

nice ride to Errol NH, ( the road is almost fixed now)

quick rest while we were there

and after we took right turn into Maine, where we had to pass alot of Harley Riders, not that there is anything wrong with that

the views were amazing

and I think we hit some kind of space-time vortex

twice

so we got heck out of Maine and back in NH. and to make things right again we sacrificed wendy's baked potato to motorcycling God's

two more ADV'rs showed up, a very nice couple from Maine,

and after nice lunch we took off to VT, where we stayed at this awesome Irish Motel with bar and live music, good times, good times

day 3

riding from side to side in VT crosing or getting on rt 100
very nice riding , specially rt 14 and rt 17 .

some random photos from that day

this is view of Rt17 after very cool twisties

rest time in one of Vt's towns

floating bridge was closed

and favorite game of the day, "chasing Johnny through VT "

it was a shoulder burning, monkey butt, wrist cramping one heck of a ride
that still puts smile on my face

sorry for my speling folks, and its my first report so its kinda dry.

I have more pics if you like to see
thanks for your time and I hope you like it

Jerry

Nice shot of the beaver pond at the top of 17.

Hope you spent plenty of time on 100 as well.
