East Texas - Easy Ride

Hi,

I'm looking to take a week or so to ride around East Texas. Camping spots are a must. I'll be sticking to roads, though if you can suggest a very novice trail, I'd be willing to give it a shot.

This link is a rough route I took from a magazine...the exact roads are not on there yet. I'm trying to get your help in that area. (you might have to hit 'get directions' to load the roads)

Any suggestions of sights, food, roads are welcome!

Thanks,
Marc

.

Not a bad route if you don't mind backroads. I've rode the Avinger / Jefferson route several times, it's okay.

Jefferson has a pretty neat historical downtown, with lots of historical (beautiful) homes.

In January we got 40+ dirty idjits together and rode a 2-day dual sport route out from Moscow to Geneva and back. Herre's the planning thread with the routes in there (somewhere) and the ride report and aftermath.
