"hot" exhaust set-up

I have definitely come up with the "hot" (pardon the pun) set-up as opposed to the Akras or KTM solution. I made my own pipes using a MagnaFlow car muffler....Stainless Steel 4" od, 2" core, made my own flanges and tig welded them on - used Hindle muffler clamps - and for the finishing touch polished everything (since that's what I do).

Check out the front fender also.....KTM SuperMoto!

Very nice! I think I'll run out to my garage and TIG weld up a set. Or not. But how do they sound? How did you adjust the carbs to match? What would a set cost if some other KTM rider was interested?

I could probebly make another set for about $400,and they sound great,at low RPM(3400 or below) they are maybe a little "HARLEYISH",but at higher RPM or when you are blipping the throttle it sounds like a very angry 996 DUC!
Yes,the carbs have been sorted out:
#4 groove
160/165 MAINS
2- 3/4's turns out on fuel screw
stock pilots

Nice flanges! you went to the trouble to match the KTM flange shape, it looks great...

Those look great and I'm sure they have plenty of sound. How is the weight compared to the stock pipes?
