Have pics of new F800Gs to upload
Can someone help this NOOB upload some shots of the new F800GS? I visited Beaudry MotorSports in Post Falls, ID after getting a call that they had their first 800GS on-site. right after I got there, the new owner called, so it is gone by now. In fact, the next half dozen or so already have deposits on them. No idea when the next one will show up there.
First impressions is that the 800GS is a beautiful, but very tall bike. The one I saw was gray with black frame, engine, etc., very impressive. Two cylinder engine, dual front brakes, beautiful design. One of the pics shows Mike Kassarjian, one of the sales reps, standing behind the bike. I am guessing he is around 5'10" or so. It looks like his crotch is an inch or two below the seat. The bike is running on a set of Bridgestone tires. I also have a couple pics of a new 650 X Country. they just got two in stock. Think the cost is $8,500 each. The X Countrys come with Metzler Sahara's front and back. Mike told me that they have an auto lowering device than dropped the bike and inch or so. When he first got on the X, just the balls of his feet were on the ground. When it was lowered, he had almost full-foot contact. A guy came in with a KTM 990 Dual Sport (?) that I checked out. Believe he said he traded his Adventure in for it. Is it just me, or are the KTM 950/990 Adventures' seats a bit lower to the ground than the BMWs? They feel a lot different in the saddle too. I'd like to get these pics up so that some of you KTM 650 Adventure or 650GS or Dakar owners would put your bikes up for sale. You get a new ride, and I try to locate a ride around here in the Spokane, WA area. ![]() Dale WU7X |

Thanaks for help.
Personally, I would agree with your feelings about selling the Dakar for an 800GS. But, I have talked to a couple folks that are contemplating just that or something similar. In fact, one is advertising a Dakar on this site right now.

Last pic for now
Here is #2. The guy in the pic is probably under 5'10". So you will get an idea of how tall the seat on the bike is.
