Tinbuttu Rally 2008, 9/12 - 9/14

This Friday, 9/12, the 2008 Tinbuttu Rally wil start at the Dunkin Donuts in Sloatsburg, NY. Info on yhis ride can be viewed by typing in Tinbuttu Rally in your search...ignore the deadline, just show up Friday between 5 & 7 pm. Friday traffic going north can be heavy, so give yourself time.
This 48 hour rally is a great way to use your routing skills, visit places you have wanted to go but that were not "on the way", or just to point the bike and twist the throttle. If you have questions, ask away.

I've always wondered how that one works, it looks like nothing but a race.

Please read the website info...a race its not! Yep, some entrants crank big miles, while others make the minimum to finish, 1,000 in 48 hours. I'm riding to the four corners of NY...0 miles on Friday, 1,250 on Saturday, and 375 by 7pm on Sunday. You are welcome to participate and ride with me if you wish, although I never exceed +10 of the speed limit and would probably bore you if you are looking for a "race."

I keep trying to get that week as a vacation, but never get it. It sounds like fun. Maybe next year...
Where are the four corners, which towns?

I did it in 05. If you enter the extreme class, it's a race no doubt about it.
