Pinlock DIY kits? need a source
I searched but no luck.
I can find UK shops selling Pinlock DIY kits where you get the insert, pins, drill and template but cannot find any US sources. Any of you inmates have any US online sources? I have a nice collection of shields for my Arai Profile and don't want to buy another set just for 2 holes drilled in the right place. Thanks. Jeff |

I looked into this last year, and, couldn't find a source. You might need to go to Europe. Sorrry!

If either of you gentlemen are having issues getting them from yurope (i.e. the suppliers won't ship to the US) then I may be able to help as I have contacts (AKA my sis)in yurope.
Just a thought.

eBay
They aren't available in the us. Too many lawyers and stupid people.
I bought mine from this seller on ebay http://stores.ebay.com/RIDERS-ACCESS...QQftidZ2QQtZkm They aren't listing any right now but they had lots of he listed last winter. Kit came with 3 pins, inser and drill bit, worked great for putting a pinlock in my scorpion helmet. It cost about $35-40 including shipping from the UK.

I saw a kit at my local CycleGear in ABQ, NM just the other day. I was surprised, as I too have not seen them all that often in US shops.
I've had good results with the ProGrip insert and use them instead, though lately I've had trouble finding the Arai variant.

Although not marketed as a DIY kit, the last insert I ordered direct from Arai came with spare pins. I plan to try to drill one of my old shields and see what happens.
