Wicked Huzband's moto-makeover......

The strain was more than I could bear. I could no longer stand to ride everyone elses RT.

So, I started devising a plan to change the look. As a lover of hot rods, I new that was the direction to go for my desired outcome. I needed a bit of help though, as I sometimes have a hard time visualizing something in my brain. My son, Chandler, has a great talent for this, so I called on him for consultation. I gave him a rough outline of what I was after, & about fifteen minutes of discussion produced the perfect plan.

First, a before shot.

After deconstruction, & a bit of sanding, I lay the outline with vinyl tape.

Then finish off with paper.

The finished panel, in satin black.

The final step I had to farm out, since I don't do powder coat.

So, a little paint, some satin black powder coat, & an ugly sticker removed, I present....

Hammerhead.

I am absolutely STOKED with how it came out. I haven't ridden it yet, but I'm quite sure it's much faster now.

Its like you were embarrassed by the cylinders sticking out the sides.

Case of K-envy?

I'd describe it more as R12S envy.

Now, if only I had the extra ponies.

The good thing is, your damn motor can't read. If it says oil on the container, it's pretty much OK to dump in there.... ED.
