Combat Lites/TCX Infinity and standing on pegs

Have spent the last 3 days reading all of the search results and still do not have a good answer... Is either one of these boots good for a lot of standing on the pegs? I have narrowed my search to these 2 selections and a weak or soft sole would be a deal breaker. My local dealer is having a 25% off special orders which is enough for me to go aheah and buy. I know there are pros and cons to each boot but I really cant read another boot thread . Riding style is 70 street and 30 fire/gravel roads. Thanks for any responses

The old BMW Savanna Boot which I have is the same boot as the Infinity. Standing on pegs is no problem...the sole will take it just fine. Great Dual Sport boots.

I have the Combat Lites from RiderWarehouse.
I rarely wear them, but that's more because I prefer the more protected feeling I get from my full MX boots (Sidi Crossfires).

So the Combat Lites are limited to times when I know I'm going to be off the bike a lot and don't want to change shoes.

The soles are definitely not "soft". In fact they're a lot more stiff than my "actual" combat boots, so no problem with support for standing on the pegs.
I did notice a nice improvement (in both pairs of boots) when I put in a pair of those Gel type insoles (normal type you can get at any drug store). I put in the Gel insoles to help with fit because my feet are skinny, but they also help make everything extra comfortable and they seem to dampen vibration some.

I also took out the laces and replaced them with a leather lace (the original one gets stuck on the velcro and is a pain in the ass). That worked out nicely. I just tied the leather lace one time (so it's sort of a loop), now I just pull the lace one time to snug them up and leave it, no additional knot needed.

If you get the combat lites, (or any quality leather boots) pick up some of this Chelsea Leather Food (RiderWarehouse sells it too, but you can get it lots of places). That stuff really helps the boots break in more easily. I was able to wear them all day at work within a week.
A lot of people complain that the combat touring boots are hard to break in. That tells me that they have (a) never worn MX boots, and (b) never been through any military basic training.

Copa,

Thanks for the info, I already have a pair of Fox Comp 5 boots and is what I wear when doing single track. Dont do to much of that beacuse the KLR is really heavy!! (so am I)... Still tring to make the decision between the CBT and Infinity. Tried on a pair of the Infinitys yesterday and they were very comfy on the foot right out of the box. The CBT I believe is a heavier leather maybe a little more protection but nothing compared to the fullon mx boot. Decisions...

Where in SE PA are you. Liverd for 3 years in Phoenixville as kid in the early 70's as a USAF brat.

I have the Infinity's, bought them back in May. Ride off road with them all the time, a good portion of which is standing on my pegs. They work great. I have worn the boots in a Blixxard and 100 degree temps, and have had 0 problems.
