Man spends 17 years building a Lamborghini replica from scratch

A waste of money? Yes. But his workmanship is pretty impressive. He even fabricated the frame and the body panels himself.

2700 lbs and 514hp

Why do you hate the 80's?

What a tool. All that time and he didn't know that the transmission on a Countach is in front of the engine.

Curious to know if it's an exact replica, or did he take advantage of the opportunity to make some personalized improvements? No idea what the weight of the original is, but 2700 lbs is pretty impressive. The shape of the front 1/4 panels looks more curved- I recall the original being more wedge-shaped, without the contoured wheel arch. But that's just me.

Nice ride. Hope it sounds like a Lambo.

Not an exact replica, he did everything by looking at pictures.

Sir Bedevere: There are ways of telling whether she is a witch.
Peasant 1: Are there? Oh well, tell us.
Sir Bedevere: Tell me. What do you do with witches?
Peasant 1: Burn them.
Sir Bedevere: And what do you burn, apart from witches?
Peasant 1: More witches.
Peasant 2: Wood.
Sir Bedevere: Good. Now, why do witches burn?
Peasant 3: ...because they're made of... wood?
Sir Bedevere: Good. So how do you tell whether she is made of wood?
Peasant 1: Build a Lamborghini out of her.

The wood frame was only used to shape the body panels.

I can appreciate the work he has put into it the Lambo though...I know how long it takes me to make one off parts.
